Share Your Garden Surplus

This year, it has been the cucumbers that we simply couldn't consume enough of--not even with the help of our neighbors!

Fortunately, there are other options. We do not have to make our neighbors hide when we ring the doorbell for fear of another bag of produce. There are hungry people all over the country, and I bet you know of some in your town.

Our next door neighbor volunteers with Bread of Life, a local soup kitchen, and he kindly agreed to take our last 20 pound bag of cukes to the kitchen. The next bag will be full of potatoes. So, just as a reminder, if you're reading this and you don't know what to do with the overflowing harvest....there are folks out there who would love to help you with it.  Really.

Plant a row for the hungry.
